A bit on Lorenzo: Lorenzo Foncerrada was raised in a family that counted Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, Tine Modotti, Edward Weston, Jean Charlot and Donal Hord as close artistic friends. This extraordinary family legacy created a lifelong interest in art. Known as “Fonce“ to his friends, Lorenzo’s family moved from Guadalajara to San Diego when he was six. Initially employed as a mathematician analyst after graduating from college, Fonce’s strong enthusiasm for design, art, sculpture and woodworking remained a compelling part of his life. Originally carving mostly in wood, Lorenzo now works in carvable foams and fiberglass in order to expand his portfolio of collectable pieces for home and business environments.
