Tracie discovered the joy of ceramics years ago through the potter’s wheel and cone 10 glazes. Figurative sculpting with clay did not begin until years later, followed quickly by a love of and appreciation for stone and metal materials. She finds these diverse mediums compelling and complementary -‐-‐ balancing the additive with the subtractive – and continues to split her time between them. Tracie’s sculptures range from the whimsical, such as the Flying Spaghetti Monster (steel) and Water Buffalo (alabaster), to figurative realism in clay.
