The San Diego Sculptors Guild embarks on many projects such as creating annex gallery spaces in Arizona and Baja California to educate the public about the importance of the arts, to provide an outlet for our member sculptors to showcase their work in a variety of spaces and environments as well as to push the boundaries of how art should be integrated in our society. In Baja California, Pez Gallery, started by Sergey Gornushkin (President-San Diego Sculptors Guild) serves to promote marine protection programs in the Sea of Cortez in collaboration with the Governors Office of Baja California Norte and other local municipal and private institutions. Our member artists are renowned locally, nationally and internationally on projects ranging from local Southern California Public Art Programs, National Competitions and International collaborations.
Events
The San Diego Sculptors Guild produces over thirty shows per year ranging from our signature Featured Artist Events to Art Movie Nights to Dinners In The Sculpture Garden series to partnering up with organisations such as The Rotary Club of Point Loma, The Surfrider Foundation, The Wildcoast Foundation, The Elan-Leal Foundation, Niki’s Charitable Art Foundation, Spanish Village Arts Foundation as well as collaborating on Student Art Shows with local San Diego Schools such as Canyon Crest Academy, Roosevelt High School, Torrey Pines High School and others. The San Diego Sculptors Guild is proud to participate in a variety of Fundraisers on important programs like polio eradication, marine and ecosystem protection, Tijuana orphanage support programs, Art Supplies to Kids programs and others. Art Walks
The San Diego Sculptors Guild is one of the most active gallery spaces in the City of San Diego. Besides offering an incredible gallery showcase space in Balboa Park, each year we participate in the La Jolla Art Walk, Liberty Station Art Walk, Little Italy Art Walk, The International Sand Sculpting Competition, The Del Mar Fairgrounds, The San Diego Botanical Gardens Sculpture Exhibition, December Nights, Encinitas City Hall Exhibits, Coronado Art Walk and other public and private venues that focus on promoting the Arts and Culture.
